Providing Access to View and Research the Fine Art Collection
The St. Catherine University Visual Resources Library (VRL) is responsible for maintaining the Fine Art Collection and for digitizing as much of it as possible so that it may be accessed worldwide by the public. The VRL also provides the campus and public communities with access to works in the University’s permanent collection not currently on view. The intent is to strengthen the collection’s connection to the University community, and to give scholars, educators, artists and students worldwide the ability to research objects in the collection.
The VRL is open to individuals and groups of up to 15 by advance appointment. It is located in the Visual Arts Building (VAB), Room 205, in the northwest corner of the building.
Arrange a Visit
Explore the Fine Art Collection online and make a list of the works you are interested in viewing. As some of the works may not be digitized yet, you may contact the VRL for further information about works in the collection.
Call the VRL to make an appointment: 651-690-6639. We ask that you provide a list of the works requested and a desired appointment time. The VRL will review your request and contact you to schedule your appointment.
